We had 2 storms passing over us at the weekend. One casualty: the MetPi.
Deux tempêtes nous ont traversés ce week-end. Une victime : le MetPi.
It had been running pretty well for 6 months. Its only protection was the plant-saucer housing. Corrosion was always a worry, but it held up. The strong winds must have pushed water inside the housing and onto the Pi. It no longer boots using any SD card.
Il fonctionnait correctement depuis 6 mois. Sa seule protection était le boîtier en soucoupes. La corrosion était toujours une préoccupation, mais il tenait bon. Les vents violents ont dû pousser de l'eau dans le boîtier et sur le Pi. Il ne démarre plus avec aucune carte SD.
RIP MetPi #1 — 2016–2017. A MetPi #2 will follow with better waterproofing.
