Once the CarPi project was underway, I started collecting the hardware I needed. To have a mobile Pi with large storage in the car, I needed: a Pi with WiFi, a power supply, a hard disk, and optional 3G.

Optional: to avoid card corruption on power cut, a small battery with GPIO notification would help. Scheduled for phase 2.
